Eye Visits was formed in 2006 by our Principal Optometrist, Ian White.

Ian's vision was to provide a local, caring service that provided long-term continuity.
We would rather provide a great service to a small area, than to spread ourselves too thinly at the expense of our patients. By serving only our local communities of St Helens, Warrington, Halton and Knowsley, we can be flexible with our appointments since we will be 'in the area' a number of times per week. For the same reason, if you should require any minor adjustments to your spectacles we can often 'pop by' at short notice.
We understand that every patient has individual needs, we therefore tailor our services to meet these varying needs. After years of experience examing patients with all manner of physical disabilites, learning disabilities, dementia and those terminally ill, we recognise that no two Eye Visits are the same. If it takes a mere twenty minutes or a full hour, then that is what we will provide. If we need to speak loudly due to hearing problems then we will. If you need the eye test to be done in the living room, kitchen or even upstairs, then we will.
Since Eye Visits is owned and run by Ian, then you will be sure that when you book an Eye Visit with us you will be seeing Ian at each visit. We do not agree with our patients being seen by a 'lucky dip' optician, we want to build up a lasting rapport and confidence in our service. Ian will also be the person who delivers your spectacles when they are ready, since he was the person that did the eye test, he will know exactly how well you should see with your new spectacles and also know that they are fitting perfectly before leaving.
